Structured cabling for your business premises

Cat5e structured cabling

The most commonly found type of networking cable is Cat5e. This cabling can carry data at speeds up to 100MHz. Cat5e cabling provides ethernet connectivity for the computers in your premises as well as data connections for telephone systems.

Cat6 cabling

Offering speeds up to 250MHz, Cat6 cabling is an update on Cat5e cabling. It is backwards compatible with Cat5 and Cat5e cabling. However, for optimum speed, Cat6 cables must be used along the entirety of the chain of connections.

Don’t be fooled by companies offering you Cat6e cabling. Cat6e has no legitimate standard and is not recognised by the Telecommunications Industry Association.

IBT provide Cat6 cabling for business premises, always adhering to best practice for optimum performance. No kinks in the wires and not bent too tightly. We also use shielding where required.

Fibre cabling

For high capacity data requirements, Fibre is the clear choice. Fibre cabling gives incredible speed and bandwidth throughout your premises.
